Russian Mustangs

Russia was delivered at least a few Allison-engined Mustangs via the Lend-Lease contract for evaluation. Some reports state that later P-51 variants were recuperated by the Soviet Union when they had to be abandoned during "Frantic" missions. Other reports claim that the RAF gave some of its Mustangs to the VVS after World War II.
